“I love you” is a promise. Every time love is spoken, it’s a promise

that no matter what the state of the relationship, or what

circumstances life brings, that I will put you first. It’s a promise that

the other’s emotional state is more important than my own. That I

will tend to their needs, and that I will attempt to serve them every

chance I get.
